Meet Robert K. Dowd A.B., J.D., L.L.M.

Robert Dowd is an accomplished attorney with an exceptional educational background. He graduated with honors from Harvard University, Boston College Law School, and obtained a Master of Laws in Taxation from Boston University. This foundation has enabled him to develop a deep understanding of the complexities of the legal world and to provide unparalleled service to his clients.

Experience

Robert Dowd has been practicing law in Texas and Massachusetts for decades, specializing in Estate Planning, Lawsuit Protection, Taxation, and Creation of Trusts. He has represented clients in Federal, State, and U.S. Tax Courts, delivering outstanding results. His expertise extends to serving as Outside General Counsel for a national solar energy company and as attorney for Christ the King Church and School in Dallas for the past twenty-five years.

Before entering private practice, Mr. Dowd was a Senior Trial Attorney for the IRS Chief Counsel Office, where he handled high-profile cases, including those of Spiro Agnew, 39th Vice President of the United States, and Marvin Mandel, former Governor of Maryland. For the past 25 years, Mr. Dowd has successfully represented private clients before the IRS, structured business operations, and provided Estate Planning services.

Membership

Robert Dowd is a member in good standing with the Dallas Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, and Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers (State Bar Association of Massachusetts). His commitment to his community is evident in his former roles as a member of The Board of Trustees Boston Latin School, Board of Directors at Shelton School of Dallas, Trustee Harvard Athletics Texas, and Chairman of the Dallas Harvard Schools Committee.

As a thought leader in his field, Mr. Dowd has lectured at numerous organizations throughout the country, sharing his expertise on Business Structures, Asset Protection, and Estate Planning. His engaging presentations have received excellent reviews from participants.

Mr. Dowd's accomplishments extend beyond the legal realm, as he was an All-Ivy Tackle on the Harvard football team and teammate of Oscar-winning actor Tommy Lee Jones. They both played in the famous 1968 Harvard-Yale game, later immortalized in the documentary, "Harvard Beats Yale 29-29."
